CFDA 2012 - Top Best Dressed

I know I'm a few days late, but I really didn't want to miss this post, so here it is. CFDA is usually one of my favorite red-carpet events of the year, but I must say that this year I was quite disappointed with the dresses. In the past years, I was crazy about at least half the gowns, but now the only one that I really really loved was the Lela Rose that Mandy Moore wore. The rest of the dresses were nice too, but it felt like I've already seen versions of those dresses everywhere. What about you? Did you have a favorite? 

Oh, and before I forget. A couple weeks ago I had a best dressed at Cannes list, which seems to have vanished. But no worries! I will try to remember all the people and their gorgeous outfits and I will post the top. I promise!

Watch a miniature version of a monogram Louis Vuitton trunk suspended from an air-balloon, wandering through an unknown and ancient world in search of its home.

This doesn't feel or look like a video Louis Vuitton usually does, but I like it! A lot!

Minx for Marc by Marc Jacobs: One Night Stand

Oh my! Marc Jacobs had a One Night Stand! Well, his Marc by Marc Jacobs label did. And it as with no other than the nail applique innovator Minx! The designer had the terrific idea of teaming up with Minx Nails to create a series of stick-ons based on his Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2011 collection. The result? Five stunning patterns with either flowers, wild animals or stripes.

The bad news about all this? The nail coatings are available in limited quantity and only those who go shopping on Fashion's Night Out (Thursday, September 8th 2011) at Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale's locations in New York will be able to get them as a gift with purchase. 

But no worries, ladies! There's still Ebay, and I'm sure many people will want to earn some bucks on something they got for free. And if not, we can still work hard and try to use the One Night Stand patterns as inspiration for our own nail art!

Besides her amazing Galliano dress, you'll be able to see the A-listers who got invited to the huge event.
