As most, if not all of you already know, it's London Fashion Week and certainly, one of the most anticipated fashion shows was that of McQ, the diffusion label to Alexander McQueen. Well, it certainly lived up to expectations! As usual, the clothes were gorgeous, with the Gothic theme from the main line, plus some trademark tartan, but there were also some flowery prom-like dresses that got my attention. Now, to move on the decor: the catwalk was a path of leaves, and when the "bride" of the show, model Kristen McMenamy (in an exquisite gown), leaves the show, a hidden forest (which I hear was a real one, with actual woodland fragrance) is revealed. Oh, and the cabin she goes into was the bar of the show.
I'm sure that, like me, many of you McQueen lovers would have enjoyed being there, but who knows, maybe in a few years? Be positive, guys! Meanwhile, here's the video with the presentations, a few pics that induce the atmosphere I was describing above and some of my favorite outfits from the show.
