Music meets high-fashion, Daft Punk meet Carine Roitfeld and Milla Jovovich

The Daft Punk guys are making quite the comeback. And they're more stylish than ever. The famous electronic duo has graced the pages of many magazines this year, clad in their brand new and sparkly Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane suits, proving they have that French fashion style within them. 

After a few photos taken by Mathieu César appeared in May in a digital spread of Carine Roitfeld's fashion magazine, CR Fashion Book, we now have the chance to peek at another set from the same photoshoot.  But there’s nothing boring about them, even if you can clearly tell the background is the same. The new snaps feature a very glamorous Milla Jovovich, also dressed in Saint Laurent (shocker!).

Hedi Slimane's First Menswear Collection for SAINT LAURENT

I guess, since Givenchy isn't having a collection this season, the Saint Laurent (I admit it, I'm still crying for the "Yves") menswear collection was the most anticipated show during Paris Fashion Week. 

It was Hedi Slimane's first menswear collection since he took the reigns of Saint Laurent and, although I was expecting something bigger, a bit more shocking (remember his collections on the late nineties for YSL? Oh, sweet memories), I loved it this way too. 

Ok, moving past that resemblance, I'd say that this collection was quintessentially Hedi Slimane and oh-so-rock'n'roll. It was like having him walking the catwalk. From the leather jackets to the skinny ripped balmain-ish jeans and leather pants, to the cropped jackets, checkers shirts and classic coats, everything seemed so great, but, at the same time, so very un-Yves Saint Laurent. 

These clothes are for those skinny, carefree & rockish band (and bad) boys that we very much admire. The hair, the outfits, the swagger! I'm guessing this is what he was reffering to when he changed the name of the brand. This collection would never work with the elegant "Yves".

All in all, I'm a sucker for this collection (although not much a Slimane fan anymore), but I'm sure Yves (the man) is rolling in his grave after having it (funny how he thought Tom Ford ruined his brand).

YSL without the "Y"?!

Yves Saint Laurent. No, scratch that. Saint Laurent from 2013 on. I guess Hedi Slimane desperately wants to make changes at YSL, now that he's the creative director. So it will be just SL. Hmm, SL fom Saint Laurent or for SLimane? That's what I was thinking too. But, question is, is this for the better? Because, in my humble opinion, the YSL logo is one of the most iconic ones. I used to be a big fan of Hedi Slimane, but this change is one that just doesn't get my vote. I believe he's doing this for himself and not for the company, like he says.

On the bright side, imagine how much will the vintage YSL stuff cost. Lucky those who plan on selling them in the future!
